This is  an emergency call for help for the refugees who arrive on the island of Lesvos in Greece.
Unfortunately the Greek state hasn't been efficient, so most of the essential humanitarian work is done by people like you and me, by real humans. This page includes NGO's and volunteers helping refugees. 
Here is one of the founders of Angalia, Papa Stratis. He is no longer alive, but his legacy is timeless. 

 Lesvos: 
I was in Lesvos beginning of October and met some amazing teams and people. Here is some info about them. At the moment there are many more NGOs and I will update the list once I return to Lesvos and get to know them.

Based in Kalloni, they provide food and a warm hug (angalia means hug in Greek). You can help by going there to help in person or donating. They also support the locals and they collaborate with other charities based in Lesvos.
